Please kindly noted there are 2 seperated monitors at the Kwumsy laptop screen extender, each monitor needs to be cable connected from your laptop individually.Only 1 Type-C to Type-C cable is needed for one single laptop extended monitor if it’s full featured Type-C (Thunder-bolt 3/4) port in your laptop. 2 Type-C to Type-C cables are needed to work both monitors of the Kwumsy portable laptop monitor extender.1 USB-A to USB-C and 1 USB-C to HDMI cable (2 cables) are needed for one single laptop screen extender monitor if Type-C port is not full featured in your laptop. Cables needed are provided within the package.Please check above picture for a reference of full featured and NOT full featured USB-C icon priting at your laptop port.
Above “Option 1” is how to install Kwumsy laptop screen extender monitor portable when there are 2 full featured Tyoe-C ports at your laptop.Above “Option 2” is how to install Kwumsy portable laptop monitor extender when there are only 1 full featured Type-C port; and at least 1 HDMI and USB-A port at your laptop.Above “Option 3” is how to install Kwumsy laptop extender monitor portable wher there is no full featured Type-C port at your laptop.
Please kindly noted 2 HDMI ports and 2 USB-A ports are needed for “Option 3” .
Tips Before Purchase:
1.Please make sure your laptop support 2 video signals transfer so that to make the dual screens of S2 working well. It means your laptop will have 2 full featured Type-C(support video signal and power supply together) interfaces or 1 full featured Type-C & 1 HDMI +1 USB-A interfaces or 2 HDMI+2 USB-A interfaces.
2.HDMI and USB-C to USB-A cables need to be used at the same time.
3.If the USB-A interface is not enough to power the screen, please use an adapter (5V/2A or more) to supply the power.
4.If your laptop doesn’t have HDMI or Type-C interfaces to connect the screen, You can connect via HDMI and USB-A interfaces that are expanded with a HUB, docking station, or multi-port adapter.
5.2020 M1 and 2022 M2 chip MacBook just can make one screen of S2 to work.
